Petitions for 11/4/07
MS Word Document
Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: November 4, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that we may show ourselves as children of God by forgiving those who have wronged us, and offering them the opportunity to change, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For peace in all areas of the world: that God will inspire all leaders with new insights to bring forth justice for all who are oppressed, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all who have grown wealthy through unjust means: that Christ may visit their hearts and offer them a chance to change, and begin a new path, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the gift of attentiveness: that we may recognize God’s invitations to us every day, and hurry to respond to His offers, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that like Zacchaeus, we may be willing to risk popularity and pride in order to find Christ in our lives, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
