For an end to violent conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, and the Holy Land: that God will guide leaders on both sides of every conflict to new paths to protect life and establish peace and security for all, we pray to the Lord:

For all who have given their lives in service of their nation: that God will give them eternal rest and joy in the heavenly kingdom, we pray to the Lord:

For the Spirit of healing: that God will touch all who are burdened with illness and weakness, renew and restore their lives, and raise them up to be one with us again, we pray to the Lord:

Hey, these are petitions for Ascension Day. From what I gleaned from Father Eric's words in church last night, that's what we'll be celebrating on Sunday the 20th. If that's not right, please email me and I'll post different ones. Thanks!
