Petitions for 10/14/07
MS Word Document
Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: October 14, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that our minds and hearts may be free to fearlessly and confidently proclaim the Word of God, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For diplomats: that all who strive to resolve conflicts through dialogue and understanding may be inspired and sustained by God’s Spirit, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For families touched by domestic violence: that God will help family members to care for one another, grow in trust, and find the resources they need to move toward wholeness, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all students experiencing the stress of midterm exams and projects: that faith in God will allow their minds to be unclouded by fear and doubt, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may allow God’s Word to touch our hearts, and never restrict it by our expectations or pride, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
