Petitions for 2/4/07
MS Word Document
Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: February 4, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the Church: that we may use the gifts given to us by the Spirit in the service of the Lord, who calls us each by name, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For all people: that the story of Christ’s salvation will be a source of comfort as well as an inspiration for each person to reach out to those who think they are alone, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For a greater awareness of the needs of the poor and those who are homeless: that, like Jesus, we may respond in love and compassion to the suffering and needs of others, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For a healing of the divisions within humanity: that racism, sexism, and prejudice may cease and that each person maybe welcomed with dignity and respect, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may answer the voice of God when He calls us, and do our best to act as his disciples, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
