Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the Church: that we may grow in our awareness that all we have, and all that we accomplish, flow from God’s gifts to us, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the gift of peace: that God will guide and inspire all who are negotiating to end war, terrorism, and violence, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For all who have experienced storms and floods, those recovering from recent storms, and for the people of Louisiana still recovering from Hurricane Katrina: that God will comfort them, give them hope and vision for the future, and open the pathways to the assistance that they need, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the grace of humility: that we may come to a deeper understanding of our gifts and weaknesses, and place these in the service of God, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that our hearts may be open to sharing God’s gifts to those who can never repay us, so that the reign of God may be known in our time, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
