Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the Church: that we may all strive to be prophets of God’s Word, and that His spirit might be bestowed upon all of us, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members of Congress: that God will inspire their deliberations as they seek to strike balances between opposing truths, and that they will hear the voices of those who are marginalized and forgotten by society, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For healing amongst the daughters and sons of Abraham: that God will heal the wounds and misunderstandings, and bring reconciliation and greater cooperation amongst followers of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For those workers who are underpaid, for those who are expected to work unfair shifts, and for any young children who are forced to do unjust physical labor: that we may hear their cries and walk humbly beside them, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may have the grace to curb our desires for wealth, and instead focus our energy on appreciation and helping those less fortunate than ourselves, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the leaders of nations, and all those who make military decisions: that they will remember that war comes from passion, while true wisdom is peaceable: we pray to the Lord:

For all parents: that they will experience joy and the presence of Christ through their children, we pray to the Lord:

For those experiencing doubts about their faith: that they will be able to discern without anger, keeping in mind that testing God does not lead to faith, we pray to the Lord:

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will bear in mind that to be wise, one must be pure, gentle, and full of mercy, we pray to the Lord:

For the grace of fidelity: that even when we feel inadequate in front of a challenge, we will be able to lose ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Jesus; we pray to the Lord:
