Petitions for 10/28/07
MS Word Document
Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: October 28, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that we may proclaim the greatness of God, and show His love and concern for all who face hardships in life, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all leaders of government: that God will inspire them to open their eyes to all who are in need – the poor, the homeless, widows, and orphans – and find new ways to promote their well-being, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all who have died: that they may find wholeness and peace in God’s presence forever, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all who are bound by a spirit of self-righteousness: that God will free their hearts, break down the walls of prejudice, and open them to the dignity of each person, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may come before God honestly, surrendering our pride, and recognizing our humility before Him, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
