Petitons for 10/21/07
MS Word Document
Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: October 21, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that we may pray unceasingly and be open to God’s invitations to greater discipleship, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For world leaders: that they may always keep in mind those people who have no voice in society and place their needs as most important, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For an end to violence in Burma: that a peaceful resolution may be found to the conflict and disagreements over political power, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the grace of perseverance: that we may faithfully call upon God in our times of need even when answers do not seem to come through for us, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may desire to hear and learn from God’s Word, and be open to the challenges and insights it offers, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
