For salvation: that we all will offer our broken spirits to God in order to be made whole again, we pray:

For those who attempt to help the poor only so that they may receive recognition: that they will learn to pray for and give to God’s people in secret, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may return to the Lord with our whole hearts, and humbly cleanse our offenses with His love, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…

That we will continue to be reminded of the saving waters of Baptism,
and allow ourselves to be cleansed both by Baptism and by fasting, we pray to the Lord:

For the grace of conversion:
that each of us may hear God’s invitation to return to him, and be healed during this Lenten season, we pray to the Lord:

For those involved in violent political struggles, particularly in Iraq:
that they will find the grace to seek non-violent ways to solve their differences, we pray to the Lord:

For the estimated 11 million people who face death in light of the political conflicts and drought in East Africa:
that they will receive the help they need through monetary donations and prayer, we pray to the Lord:

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s:
That we will be able to follow Jesus’ example by rejecting sin, even when our lives seem as hopeless as a man walking alone in a desert, we pray to the Lord:

That we will be able to use fasting as a way to purify ourselves so that we may carry God’s grace, we pray to the Lord:
