MS Word Document
First Sunday of Advent
Cycle C: December 3, 2006
General Intercessions
Our Response is Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For the Church: that we will continue to be always ready for the Return of Jesus by living our lives faithfully, we pray to the Lord:
Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For the growth of peace: that God will help the leaders of nations to take great risks to establish peace and justice in the world, we pray to the Lord:
Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For those who have no families, or who are rejected by their families: that they may find acceptance in the Christian community, we pray to the Lord:
Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For all those experiencing anxiety: for students, for the homeless, and for world leaders alike: that we may all be able to lift our souls to the Lord, we pray to the Lord:
Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will act faithfully as the work of God’s hands in all facets of our lives, we pray to the Lord:
Come Emmanuel, Hear our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now...
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
