Petitions for 2/3/07

Unfortunately, I won't be able to upload a Microsoft Word document until I get to work, so don't expect one until 1pm or later.

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle A: February 3, 2008
General Intercessions

Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the Church: that the Blessing bestowed on us by the Spirit may manifest itself in sacrifice, deeds of justice, and words of compassion, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the members of legislatures: that their hearts may be sensitive to the needs of all their constituents - those with power and those who are powerless - as they draft new budgets and legislation, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For all who mourn: that they may know God's presence this day and that we may stand with them and support them through their grief, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For all who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for those who have been abused, unjustly imprisoned, suffered discrimination, and for those who work to empower the marginalized: that the Spirit of God will guide their deeds and strengthen their spirits, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may have the grace to be poor in Spirit, and recognize our poverty wherever God is not at the center of our lives and decisions, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)

Petitions for 1/13/08

I am still having issues with being able to upload a file of any kind to My UW, although I've now addressed the problem as being the fault of my computer: I also can't attach files to email, or save files from the Internet. This means that until I figure out how to fix it, I can't upload the file in Microsoft Word. Sorry!
