Petitions for 11/18/07
MS Word Document
Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: November 18, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that God’s love will drive fear from our hearts, and lead us to live fully as His Children, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For peace in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan: that violence may end, and that all people may work toward a society that offers safety, education, and opportunity for all its citizens, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the unity of Christians: that Jesus will lead us to unity around the Word and the Table, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For students and their families, and anyone else who is traveling for Thanksgiving: that their journeys will be safe, and that their time spent with loved ones peaceful, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may grow in our trust that God is always with us, and be able to offer hope and vision to others in times of confusion and difficulty, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
