Petitions for 11/11/07
MS Word Document
Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle C: November 11, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the Church: that we may offer faithful witness to God’s mercy and love to others, and live always as Children of his Kingdom, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all leaders in government: that they will find just and effective ways to distribute resources, and can thus help those suffering from the effects of drought, wildfires, and fallout from political turmoil, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all veterans: that they may feel God’s presence in their hearts, and be blessed with health and well-being, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For all those who have experienced torture and abuse: that God will heal their memories, and free them from the shackles of fear and hatred, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may discover God’s live-giving presence, and deepen our trust in Him, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear Our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
