Petitions for 12/18/05
Here are the petitions! Unfortunately, it appears as though I am unable to log into MyWebspace, due to the December 2-12 outage of student information. Hopefully this will be rectified once they’re done. This is why there is no link to a Word Document this week. Sorry! Maybe I’ll see if I can work something out for next week.
Fourth Sunday of Advent
Cycle A: December 18, 2005
General Intercessions
Our Response is Come, Lord Jesus
For the Church: that we may faithfully give voice to God’s call to reexamine our lives and bring comfort to all who suffering, we pray to the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus
For wisdom and understanding for political leaders: that God will inspire all leaders of nations with insights into how to promote peace, understanding, and justice so that all may live in safety and freedom, we pray to the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus
For faith in God: that all may come to understand that through the power of the Holy Spirit, all is possible, we pray to the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus
For Christians during this Advent season: that we turn from the wastelands of violence, opulence, and greed and return to honest and loving relationships, we pray to the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will open ourselves to God’s will, and allow his will to be done to us according to his word, we pray to the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
