Petitions for 11/20/05

Word Document version
There are only four this week, but that's because the first one is pretty long.
Additionally, maybe for this Sunday, the 13th, we could include a prayer for an end to violence in France, and a move towards peaceful solutions to inequality?

Thirty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King
Cycle A: November 20, 2005
General Intercessions

Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the Church: that as followers of Christ we may give food to the hungry,
Drink to the thirsty,
Give welcome to strangers,
Clothe those who are naked,
And visit those who are in prison, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For those who are lost in faith: that the Lord will seek them out, bind their wounds, and heal their sickness, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For all those who feel lost or afraid: that they will take comfort in the Lord, who rescues us from dark places and shows us the path of righteousness, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s:
That we may try not to desire more, but to instead be satisfied and filled by our faith in God, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
