Petitions for 4/7/07
MS Word Document
Easter Vigil in the Holy Night of Easter
Cycle C: April 7, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the Church: that we may proclaim the triumph of Christ through unconditional love for friends and enemies alike, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For all those who struggle for peace and justice: that God will provide a springtime of faith that will yield a healthy harvest to their efforts, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For all those experiencing darkness: for the unemployed, the homeless, those who are hungry, those who are ill, those who have lost loved ones, and those facing any uncertainties in their lives: that the Lord will be their courage and strength, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For those newly baptized: that they will allow their faith to burn in their own lives, and that they will in turn illuminate the faith of others, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that may we answer “Here I am,” as Abraham did, whenever we hear God calling out to us, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
