Petitions for 2/25/07
MS Word Document
First Sunday of Lent
Cycle C: February 25, 2007
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the Church: that God who delivers us will lead us to forgive those who have wronged us, and help us to pray for them and all their needs, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For salvation: that we all will offer our broken spirits to God in order to be made whole again, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For those who suffer from violence and hatred: that they may call on the name of the Lord, and be comforted by his mercy and love, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For catechumens as they prepare for the Rite of Election: that they will open their hearts to God’s love, and be drawn closer to God during this Lenten season, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we may use this Lenten season to allow ourselves to enter into a deeper relationship with God; and that we may have faith in Him without having to test his power or love, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
