Petitions for 10/22/06

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be able to post the Petitions until around 2pm at the earliest. My alarm didn't go off this morning, and I just don't have the time to get it done before my class. Sorry!

EDIT: Okay, here they are! MS Word Document

Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle B: October 22, 2006
General Intercessions

Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the Church: that we will endeavor to spread the good news that the Son of God came to be a ransom for all people, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For peace: that God will guide the leaders of nations as they work to contain nuclear weapons, and also to guide them in finding new paths of dialogue to resolve disagreements, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the freedom to trust: that we will be freed from fear and insecurity, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For all who feel overwhelmed, confused, or misdirected: that Christ may enlighten a path towards wholeness for them, and that they may find support and encouragement in the Christian community, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will strive to live our lives as a testament to our love for Christ, and as an offering for our sins, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now...
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
