Petitions for 4/23/06
MS Word Document
Second Sunday of Easter – Divine Mercy Sunday
Cycle B: April 23, 2005
General Intercessions
Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the Church: that we will rejoice and share the inheritance of Christ’s resurrection to all and rejoice in the salvation of souls, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For all who struggle to bring peace to regions torn apart by strife: that they will know and receive the serenity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and be moved to succeed at their efforts, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For those who have been rejected in any way, and for those who feel as though they are hard pressed: that the Lord will be their strength and courage, and that we may rejoice in the knowledge that He is our savior, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
Lord, please lead us to be better stewards of Your creation: to leave behind a living planet; a world of hope; a land in which we can know You without the unnecessary distractions of hunger or the privations of polluted waters and unclean air to breathe, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will devote ourselves to the teachings of the Apostles, and be able to believe in the meaning of the sacrifice of our Savior, we pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our Prayer
For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
