Petitions for 10/2/05

Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
Cycle A(?): October 2, 2005
General Intercessions

Our Response is Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the Church: that we may be able to lead non-believers with example, by working to produce the fruit of His kingdom, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the grace of conversion: that we may be able to recognize what is just, what is pure, and what is honorable – so that we are be able to experience the peace of God, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For all those who feel weary: that God will restore us, and shine his light upon us, so that we might be saved, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For all those who suffer from self-doubt or worry: that they will be guided by God’s truth to remember that the Lord is always just, and that there is hope for all who give glory to his name, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the members and friends of St. Paul’s: that we will be able to set aside our anxieties and instead trust in God’s grace, we pray:
Lord, Hear our Prayer

For the silent prayers of our hearts and for any special prayers you wish to mention now…
(Pause for others to pray and for the priest to conclude with prayer)
